Мeeting will be held between 4-7 July in the city of Varna. There will be interactive workshops about the following subjects:
“Identification and cataloguing the presence of SSF in industry bodies, Advisory Councils and LIFE Platforms at national, and European level” and “Analyze the readiness of SSF to get involved in the future Advisory Council for the Black Sea and LIFE Platform”.
On these workshops will attend more than 40 representatives of Ministry of Agriculture and food, Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Institute of fisheries and aquaculture, representatives of non-governmental organizations, both from Bulgaria and Romania.
In the upcoming event there will be introduction and discussion about stage of involvement of SSF in policy-making process, and building up of capacity, developing and presenting examples of good practices in SSF and enabling women to participate in decision making and/or leadership roles in the sector, analyze the readiness of SSF to get involved with the future Advisory Council for the Black Sea and LIFE Platform, the purpose of Advisory Council in Black Sea and the role of SSF in decision-making process, best practices in SSF, suitable for the Black Sea region, Identifying the readiness and willingness of the EU’s small-scale fishermen to get involved in the future Advisory Councils or in LIFE Platforms etc. Summarization of the results from the workshops and making future plans for similar meetings and workshops.
The meeting will be held Under Contract № MARE/2014/04 – SI2.724176 between European commission and “SP CONSULT BG”.
