Participation of the European Black Sea Fishermen’s Association in Workgroup No 2 “Sustainable Fishing – Facilities and Resources” of the Advisory Council for the Black Sea

The European Black Sea Fishermen’s Association will participate in a meeting of Workgroup No 2 “Sustainable Fishing – Facilities and Resources” of the Advisory Council for the Black Sea (ACBS), which will be held on February 18, 2019 year in Varna. At the meeting, whose moderator is the chairman of the European Association Dr. Dimitrina Kostova will be discussed the Regional Action Plan for Small-Scale Fisheries in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea (RPOA-SSF); the short and long-term objectives that have been included by the GFCM and their development in the Regional Action Plan for SSF.

A presentation on “Sustainable fisheries management – interaction of marine mammals” will make Mihaela Mirea and Kostin Timofte from Romania.

There are 10 members in Workgroup No 2  – 5 representatives from Bulgaria and 5 from Romania, this being the fourth session since the beginning of this year.
