Representatives of the European Black Sea Fishermen Association were on an informal visit to Greece.

In the period 12-18 April representatives of the European Black Sea Fishermen Association were on an informal visit to Nafplio, Greece.

During the visit, meetings were held with fishermen organizations in the area, as well as with APC ADVANCED PLANNING – CONSULTING, with which the Association is in partnership and already has joint project initiatives.

The conversations that took place were related to the legislation in Bulgaria and Greece, applying sustainable, good practices for the economic wellfare of small-scale fishermen, economic development of the areas of the Mediterranean and Black Sea, protecting the purity and diversity of marine aquaculture . The proposals of the members of the Association for changes and drafting of measures to assist the Bulgarian small-scale fishermen, the fight against poachers and the pollution of the Black Sea were also discussed. Particular emphasis was put on the implementation of the Regional Action Plan set up in 2018 on key issues: joint fisheries management, law enforcement / fishing gear, social inclusion, including the role of women and young people in employment, diversification, contribute to environmental protection.
