Within a month, experts from the European Association of Fishermen at Black Sea informed fishermen about opportunities under Open Schemes for Maritime and Fisheries Program Application. They helped develop a project to increase the value of fish and fishery products from own catches, improve the quality of fish on the market and develop coastal fisheries in the Black Sea.
By implementing the pledged investment activities, it will be possible to improve the competitiveness and viability of small-scale fishermen, their economic independence and the sustainable development of the region. In the processing of fishery products, women are greatly involved. They are present in most of the processes of technological processing of fish, in organizing the accounting and administrative activities related to the sale of fish and fishery products.
