EC approves event of the Association for the initiative “In My Country 2022” for the European Maritime Day

The EC has approved more than 500 events under the initiative “In My Country 2022” for the European Maritime Day (EMD), organized in 28 countries (21 EU countries and 7 non-EU countries). Bulgaria will be represented by 19 institutions, among which the European Association of Fishermen in the Black Sea.

Local activities approved by the EC are in full line with the declared 2022 European Year of Youth, include beach cleaning, guided tours of ports, art exhibitions, seminars, conferences, seminars, maritime exhibitions, ocean literacy campaigns , eco-tours and walks in areas with significant maritime heritage, boat trips, visits to maritime museums, ships, aquariums, shipyards, etc. are aimed at a wide audience across Europe, with the ‘fun and play’ component directly appealing to younger audiences. These initiatives will host almost 200,000 participants covering all EU sea basins, setting a new record in the history of European Maritime Day.

The organized event of the European Association of Fishermen in the Black Sea will be held on September 16, 2022 in Ahtopol and provides an action to clean the beach, hold talks, organize an exhibition of children’s drawings on “The Future of My Sea” and more .

All organizers receive and distribute among the participants in their events sustainable materials with the brand #EMD In My Country, and the events will be promoted through the information channels of the Directorate General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and social media #EMDInMyCountry.
