The Chairman of the European Association of Fishermen in the Black Sea, Dr. Dimitrina Kostova is participating today, October 19, in an online extraordinary working meeting of the Advisory Council for the Black Sea (BlSAC). The meeting is related to the complicated situation with the stranded ship “Vera Su” near Kamen bryag and the presence of cargo, which is a potential danger to the marine environment.
Concepts are expected to be presented to prevent further complications and deterioration of the marine environment, as well as a possible rescue plan to eliminate the problem of the damaged ship.
All active observers and more specific representatives of: small-scale and commercial fisheries in the affected regions; fish farms, mussels, aquaculture in the potentially affected regions; experts in maritime law, maritime affairs, emergency management, etc. will attend the meeting.
